Nishkam Saint Puran Singh Institute, popularly known as NSPSI, is a state of the art middle level college in Kericho town which opened its doors in 2008. Since its inception, a lot has been achieved. Over 5000 students have benefited from the services offered at NSPSI in the main steam courses, while nearly the
same number has been trained in the basic computer proficiency and other short ICT courses. Most of our trainees are now employed in both the public and private sector; not forgetting those who acquired technical skills and are now self-employed.

We train students at Artisan, Certificate and Diploma levels in both Technical and Business Courses. Students join different qualifications of their choice e.g. KNEC, KASNEB, ICM and NITA. As a college, we have made a remarkable impact especially in the technical courses like Electrical Installations, Plumbing, Tailoring & Dress Making, Automotive Engineering, Masonry and Carpentry & Joinery. The skills acquired by the learners have been lacking especially with our local populace mainly due to the perception towards technical courses. There is still more that can be done, hence we appeal to the parents, sponsors, corporate and the youth to embrace vocational training in the quest for the realization of Vision 2030.
New programs have been introduced in the college in the last two years to cater for the ever increasing demand and needs in our society. The new programs have attracted encouraging enrollments so far, hence boosting the general student population in the college. The new courses are Welding and Fabrication, Masonry , Food & Beverage and Community Health to name but a few. In the coming year, we will be rolling out ICDL (International Computer Driving License), and KASNEB Vocational Courses. From January 2022, our students undertaking KASNEB courses will benefit from HELB loans and Bursaries. We have already signed an MOU with HELB and KASNEB Foundation in preparation for this. For a student to access HELB loan or Bursary, he or she must be registered in an institution fully accredited by KASNEB. NSPSI College is the only fully accredited KASNEB Training Centre as well as Examination Centre in this region.
NSPSI has qualified and experienced trainers who are dedicated to serve. They prepare study packs and training manuals tailored to the levels of the learners and meet each student’s individual needs. In conclusion, I would like to say that to us at NSPSI, all entry grades are quality grades. KCPE, grade E, grade D- and grade D are all valuable because the bearers leave NSPSI when they can compete favorably with their counterparts who may have scored higher grades at High school level. At NSPSI we believe that no human being is limited and that education is the best equalizer. So parents, guardians and sponsors if you entrust us with your child, you will never regret.
