The Kenya National Examination Council(KNEC) was established by the government of Kenya in 1980 by an act of parliament (CAP225A) as a non-profit institution to conduct school and post school examination and award certificates and diplomas to successful candidates in Business, Technical and Computer Studies among others. Examination are offered in English.
KASNEB
The Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board(KASNEB) was established by the Government of Kenya on 24th July 1969. The Board Develops, Administers, manages and conducts examinations at professional and Technicians levels in Accounting, Finance, Management and ICT. The examinations of the board are recognized world-wide and are comparable to similar professional examinations in the world. The examiantions are in English.

The National Industrial Training Authority(NITA) formerly Directorate of Industrial Training(DIT) offers government trade tests.NSPSI is a training and testing examination centre for NITA exams mainly in Electrical installation,Plumbing and Garment making
